Concept: This modern chandelier is a custom design light, designed by the building’s architect in order to illuminate the interior atrium in the main entrance of a factory. In addition, it decorates the three storey height space, offering an optical connection from the entrance reception desk to the upper office floors, as the visitor climbs up from the main staircase. Painted aluminum elements, cords and led lights are assembled together in order to create a large scale hanging light (8,00m height *1,80m wide) that is visible from the main street during the night and works as an illuminated decorative “curtain wall”, behind the curtain wall of the building façade. “Curtain Wall” light was designed by Nancy Leivaditou and constructed by Viokef Lighting.Reusable materials, colored aluminum elements, black strings and led lights have been assembled in one piece in order to create an energy efficient “sculptural hanging wall”, emitting ambient light. It is extremely lightweight for its dimensions and portable as it can be packed in a roll, easily transported and installed in its location.
